42MP, a fully integrated management and production company, were planning to relocate into 3,250 sq ft of LL refurbished office space on Argyll Street in London. The move was instigated by a lease expiry and 42MP had very little time to relocate their 28 staff.
When The Interior Works came on the scene, 42MP were about to proceed with another design and build company. However, an outstanding recommendation from an existing client, SM&B, made them favour us for this important relocation.
With only 6 weeks within which to complete the works and an imminent start date, it was all hands on deck! As 42MP already had a space plan and an agreed budget, the challenge was for us to slip in seamlessly and work to existing specifications. However, it soon became clear that the planned layout for the space would not physically fit. With no time to redesign the space, it literally was a case of rolling up the sleeves and physically pacing the site together with the client to determine the optimum solution.

We were tasked with finding the most economical way of achieving 42MP’s desired look and feel for the new office space. We installed a wood floor on top of an existing floor, designed and built a clever folding wall that could work with all of their service cabling, as well as installing a teapoint and breakout area in the middle of the space.
Although The Interior Works would not ordinarily get involved in a project where the landlord still had contractors on site, this project for 42MP was an SOS – and we are all about service, delivery and problem solving!
